Current Projects

Here you can learn all about all of our new and ongoing projects. If you feel you can help and would like to get involved, then please reach out to us through our contact page.

  • Tuesday Open House is open to both our residents and non-residents, for anyone who wants to pop along and find out more about The Isaiah Project or just to come in for a chat. Everyone is welcome and they take place every Tuesday from 1pm - 2.30pm at Ferndale Baptist Hall. We hope to see you there.

  • The Isaiah Community Garden was acquired just after lockdown in July. ‘A place to be in a peaceful setting in the open air’. Gardening and growing plants is very therapeutic and being part of the cycle of nature - sowing, nurturing and harvesting is so rewarding. We are open to all members of the community.

  • If you’re free on a Thursday morning, why not come along to our free men’s breakfast. Held every Thursday with The Isaiah Project, meeting at Ferndale Baptist. All you need to do is call 01702 436417 to book a place or speak to your Befriender. Looking forward to see you there.

  • We have begun a life skills group with some of our residents.  The aim of the group is to improve both physical and mental health.  The activities will be very much led by the needs of the group itself.  To start with we are focusing on baking.  If this is something you would like to be considered for please call our office on 01702 436417, or drop us a message through our contact page.

  • Project Learning
Through individual tutoring, tailored and adapted to each child’s needs we can begin to address gaps in learning and support and develop those children that are on track in school. The aim of tutoring will be to raise the confidence and resilience of the children involved.

    Project In Touch
Throughout Lockdown we operated Project In Touch, to give the opportunity for anyone in the community to speak regularly with a member of the In Touch team, to share concerns, fears or just simply to have a chat.

    Food Parcels
We distribute food parcels each week and have delivered over 1100 since the beginning of COVID lockdown. Thanks to Southend Emergency Fund and Tesco for making this possible.

    Line Dancing
Come along to Line Dancing with us, it’s free, fun and happens every Wednesday from 10.15 - 11am at Ferndale Baptist Church, SS2 4DS. Followed by our Open House.
